The video below is featuring drummer Ramy Antoun.  You can become very familiar with him at his site www.ramyantoun.com .  One of the amazing things about this drummer is the time he spends helping others in the Austin community obtain their music goals.  Someone with such a resume still has time to give back to the unknowns of the world like myself and I am very thankful for the oppurtunity to record and work with him one of my new songs “Rest”

Ramy’s credits range from Black Eyed Peas, Seal, Pat Benatar, Paul Oakenfold, and currently Ed Kowalczyk (Formerly of the band LIVE). Not merely content to work as a drummer, Antoun also dove into production and songwriting, garnering track credits on hit television shows and movies such as Matchstick Men, Crazy Beautiful, and The OC. Goldspot, Antoun’s recent musical endeavor, was nominated for Best International Artist in the 2010 VH- I Music Awards, for its record, Tally of the Yes Men.

Ramy spends his down time in Austin, TX where he mentors artist in all creative disciplines. “I know im living a blessed life, and it excites me to help our other super talents to get to do the same” Ramy is also a World Vision artist and a Artist in Residence at Gateway Community Church, where he leads the music team weekly before over 7,000 attendees/viewers.

“For me, it’s a great blessing to be able to not only continue creating, but also help other artists achieve their career and life goals” Antoun says. “It’s a win win situation!”
